Despite being one of Aventon’s older e-Bike models, coming onto the market early 2020, The Aventon Sinch is still a powerful contender in the folding e-bike market today. Sturdy, well-designed, and integrated with a lot of little features, the Sinch is one of the most versatile folding bikes available today.

DESCRIPTION
Form & Functionality
Folding e-bikes regularly take functionality over form. As such, you can end up with something that looks like several steel pipes welded together on wheels. The Aventon Sinch, however, is one of the best looking folding electric bikes available on the market, and it does this while still being a very adaptable ride.
Its sleek & compact design comes hand-in-hand with Aventon’s attention to details. This brings us features such as an integrated battery in the top tube, cables that run through the frame itself, and a powerful 750W motor.
Features
Efficiency
With 6 riding modes (5 pedal assist modes & throttle-only), the Aventon Sinch can run for a range of up to 65km. This is particularly impressive as the bike weighs in at approximately 31kg. There are some fixed frame electric bikes available that struggle to make that range work, so this is an impressive feat.
Power & Speed
The 750W motor on the Sinch produces speeds of up to 32 kph, but what is more surprising is the torque put out. Able to carry up to 300lbs, the motor is also effective at powering riders uphill with ease on the throttle alone.
Frame
The Sinch is held together by a double-butted aluminium alloy frame. Aventon managed to avoid the doubt-inducing pitfalls found on other folding bikes by constructing a clamp that feels solid and secure. There’s no clicking or rattling sounds. There’s no frame wobble when braking suddenly or going over rough terrain.
Ride Quality
The frame’s sturdiness, combined with the fat 4 inch tyres & front suspension give the Sinch a ride quality that you simply won’t find on another folding bike. It’s smooth, stable, and balanced when being used off road.
Unique in Every Way
The Sinch captured the attention of cyclists and ebike enthusiasts alike because of its unique design & high performance. Its collapsible build makes the perfect companion for adventures. It can fit neatly into the back of most vehicles, and its off road capabilities means you can take it on beaches, campsites, dirt tracks, or use it to commute.
The Test of Time
In 2022, the Sinch was given a younger sibling, the Sinch Step-Through. It built on the Sinch’s popularity & technical performance to build a highly-integrated folding e-bike, but with a step-through frame design instead of the original’s step over.
However, despite the Sinch’s age, it still holds up as a contender, and in many ways is still better than folding ebike alternatives joining the market today.
Just like its younger sibling, the Sinch is a bike full of surprises. A folding bike with the performance of a fixed bike. A smooth, stable ride backed by a lot of torque makes this just as good an e-Bike now as it was a few years ago, so if you want one of the best looking folding bikes on the market, but you still need it to perform, the Aventon Sinch should be the only entry on your list.
